   1. Midi Sadhana

(Jan 11 – March 10)

Meant primarily for those in leadership position and in formation work, this experiential course aims to heip participants in self-awareness and personal integration so that they can be more effective, life giving and growth promoting in their interaction with others. The course usually begins with basic orientation and community building sessions followed by a Vipassana or Journal retreat that sets the tone of silence and awareness for what follows. Group therapy experience of about four weeks follows immediately after the Vipassana retreat. Additional components of the Midi Sadhana course could be Human Sexuality and Affectivity, Reflections on the Sadhana of Jesus, Challenges of Mid Life.

   2. Vipassana Retreat

(Jan 11 - 22)

Vipassana is a simple and direct practice of moment to moment observation of the mind-body process through calm and focussed awareness. Observing experiences from a place of stillness enables us to relate to life with less fear and clinging. Seeing the reality of constant change, we begin to accept all aspects of our life with increasing poise and equanimity. Deepening insight helps us see the totality of our being and experience life with greater clarity, wisdom and compassion.

   3. Sadhana of Jesus: Fully Human, Fully Alive

(Feb 28 - March 6)

The focus of the course is to imbibe the perspectives and vision of Jesus so that we learn what it means to be human. We do this by highlighting Jesus' Life and Teaching - the way He lived. The course helps us challenge certain unhealthy images of God and the human that have crept into religious life due to the distortions of culture and history. This will enhance the development of healthy images of the human and the divine. The net result is certain audacity to believe, to be human.

   4. Human Affectivity

(Feb 16 – 27)

This course seeks to provide the participants a grounding in the psychological and developmental aspects of human sexuality and emotional maturity with special reference to the celibate way of life. It offers a positive understanding of sexuality affording participants opportunities for inner work and personal exploration into the significance of emotional and sexual maturity.

An essential part of this approach is to point to the life affirming and spiritual aspects of sexuality and intimacy so that one’s affective energies are channeled into his or her daily life and relationships and are at the service of a deeper spiritual life. Formators, especially, spiritual directors of seminaries would be given preference.

   5. NLP - Basic

(April 9 – 21)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a means of personal, social and spiritual growth.  NLP offers a detailed and pragmatic model of the processes involved in human behaviour and communications.

It is about how the brain works, how people think, feel, learn, motivate themselves, interact with others, make choices, and achieve realistic goals.  The NLP approach to communication can produce the widest range of choices and the ability to CHANGE in order to achieve desired results.

 6. Tools of the Spirit
(April 24 – May 1)

This course is open only for those who have completed the Basic and Advanced courses of NLP conducted by Dick McHugh.

This seminar aims to enable participants to use NLP to ‘create a world to which people want to belong.’ Every individual yearns to have a deeper relationship with something greater than himself or herself. This seminar offers means which bring our individual minds and nervous systems more in harmony and alignment with the ‘larger mind’ or ‘God-Mind’ of which we are members and thus experience the fruits of the Spirit, namely, love, compassion, joy and peace, in greater measure (Course guide: Dick McHugh SJ).

   9. Meaning Through Mid Years
(Sept 1 - 30)

As humans we are daily growing and transforming while passing through the various stages of development. The middle years are a time of diminishing physical, intellectual, affective, and spiritual energies. This course, with its emphasis on midlife development, becomes a time to harness together one's scattered and underutilized resources from earlier stages of development and to direct them towards meaningful later years. Besides theory, group processing attends to past issues that might interfere with this meaning-seeking journey and also facilitates conscious choices that could lead to spiritual wholeness. The participants' images and dreams tend to become the vehicle for healing the past and dealing with resistances to a meaningful life ahead.
