   1. Midi Sadhana, Age Limit: 35 - 55

(Jan 5 – March 3)

This is a course meant primarily for those in leadership position and in formation work. This experiential course aims to help participants in self-awareness and personal integration so that they can be more effective, life giving and growth promoting in their interaction with others.

The course begins with basic orientation and community building sessions followed by a Vipassana retreat that sets the tone of silence and awareness for what follows. Group therapy experience of about four weeks follows immediately after the Vipassana retreat. The intensive group therapy process invites participants to be honest, insightful and compassionate towards themselves and others. Additional components of the Midi Sadhana course are Human Sexuality and Affectivity, and Reflections on Living the Religious Life.

   2. Vipassana Retreat

(Jan 7 - 18)

Vipassana, also known as insight meditation, is a simple and direct practice of moment to moment observation of the mind-body process through calm and focussed awareness. Observing experiences from a place of stillness enables us to relate to life with less
fear and clinging. Seeing the reality of constant change, we begin to accept pleasure and pain, fear and joy and all other aspects of our life with increasing poise and equanimity. Deepening insight helps us see the totality of our being and experience life with greater clarity, wisdom and compassion. Participants generally find this retreat a purifying experience.

   3. Neuro-Linguistic Programming Basic

(Feb 15 – 27)

NLP offers a detailed and pragmatic model of the processes involved in human behaviour and communications. Its principles can be used to understand, and make changes in, many areas of human activity. The objective is to provide you with the widest range of flexibility and greater choices and possibilities for your behaviour.

Note: This course is meant for the two- year Formative Psychology students. However, a few seats are available for those who are involved in the ministry of personal accompaniment.

   4. Personal Growth

(March 9 – 29)

This relatively short course offers an opportunity for personal growth and inner healing through intensive group therapy. Participants will have opportunities to examine their dysfunctional attitudes and behaviour patterns and the emotional reactions that prevent them from being “fully alive” and to get in touch with their own healing potential. The goal is to learn new ways of relating to experience with insight and understanding that create possibilities of transformation. A readiness for self-disclosuredesire for inner healing and compassionate self-regard enable participants to derive maximum benefit from the course.

   8. Drawing from the Depths
(Sept 6 - 13)

Using the non-analytical, non-diagnostic and integrative approach to life employed in the Intensive Journal, this retreat seeks to help participants learn to work with all of their life experiences, both positive and negative, to develop a basis for important life decisions. This psycho-spiritual process enables step-by-step work through carefully designed exercises that can help access
feelings about different areas of life. The interplay of journal exercises and techniques creates a dynamic process that helps participants build an energy and momentum within themselves to take the next steps in life.
