2. Midi Sadhana |
(Jan16 - Mar 13) Age Limit: 35-55 |
The objective of this experiential course is to help participants in self-awareness and personal integration so that they can be more effective, life giving and growth promoting in their interaction with others. It is meant primarily for those in leadership and whose work involves caring for others - superiors, formation personnel, spiritual guides and counsellors.
The course will begin with basic orientation and community building sessions followed by a Vipassana retreat or Journal retreat that sets the tone of silence and awareness for what follows. The group therapy experience of about four weeks immediately after the Vipassana is truly intensive and invites participants to be honest, insightful and compassionate towards themselves and others. Additional components of this course could be Human Sexuality and Affectivity, reflections on Living the Religious Life, Mysticism, Social Commitment, or Sadhana of Jesus.
3. Vipassana Retreat |
(Jan 18 - Jan 27) |
Vipassana, also known as insight meditation, is a simple and direct practice of moment to moment observation of the mind-body process through calm and focussed awareness. Observing experiences from a place of stillness enables us to relate to life with less fear and clinging. Seeing the reality of constant change, we begin to accept pleasure and pain, fear and joy and all other aspects of our life with increasing poise and equanimity. Deepening insight helps us see the totality of our being and experience life with greater clarity, wisdom and compassion. Participants generally find this retreat a purifying experience.

10. The Relevance of Mysticism Today |
(Oct 15 - Oct 23) |
|
Mysticism has a vital role to play in healing today’s
religious strife and division. This course explores
mysticism from a multi-faith perspective, focusing on
Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, and Sufi mystical traditions.
Recognizing that mystical insight and consciousness
must be experienced, the course is experiential,
emphasizing five areas. These five areas are: universal
truths common to the mystical journey in different
spiritual traditions; mysticism and science, and parallels
between them; silent contemplation and experiential
practices to awaken and deepen mystical
consciousness; the Divine Feminine, and the
contemporary renaissance of feminine spiritual
consciousness across the globe and; mysticism in
service to the world. The course will also explore the
stages of the mystical journey, including: awakening,
purification, illumination, the mystic death or ‘Dark Night
of the Soul’, union, and serving the Divine.

grounding in the psychological and developmental
aspects of human sexuality and emotional maturity with
special reference to the celibate way of life. It offers a
positive understanding of sexuality affording
participants opportunities for inner work and personal
exploration into the significance of emotional and
sexual maturity. An essential part of this approach is to
point to the life affirming and spiritual aspects of
sexuality and intimacy so that one’s affective energies
