Course
Objective
To
help students attain adequate facility in the
use of a variety of skills in counselling and
spiritual direction that could be useful in helping
a wide range of individuals and groups over a
broad spectrum of human development; |

To
offer an understanding of how psychology and spirituality
can be integrated in an experiential and functional
way in the practice of counselling and spiritual direction;
To
broaden their conceptual and experiential categories
so that they can comfortably relate to different world
views, both Eastern and Western, given the context
of a pluralistic society such as in India;
To
help students attain a basic understanding of the
major mystical traditions and spiritual psychologies,
particularly that of India;
To
invite them to a deeper understanding of the truth
of themselves that would find healing expressions
in their interpersonal and professional relationships;
To
help them articulate a cohesive understanding of their
philosophy of life and professional identity in keeping
with their own unique personal gifts and professional
goals in the context of the training opportunities
and personal growth experiences available at Sadhana.
